In her screenplay LAS FLORES DE LA ESTACION, Débora imagines a dystopian Brazil ruled by a military-religious regime. Celina, a young woman who has grown up with religious values, experiences the regime’s atrocities first-hand and embarks on a path of rebellion and liberation.
About the author
Born in Porto Alegre (Brazil), Débora studied Journalism at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and completed a Master of Arts in Media Culture Analysis at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. She has been living in Berlin since 2013 and is training as a filmmaker at FilmArche. She has been selected to participate in the script residency at the EICTV, Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba.
