About the author
Juan Carlos was born in Lima (Peru) and is a writer and cultural manager. He has been editor-in-chief and publisher of the political weekly «Caretas» for a decade. He holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Cultural Studies from the University of Bonn, where he also taught. He has organised events at the Goethe-Institut in Peru and is the author of the play «Tiernísimo animal» (2000), the novel «Pandilla interior» (2010) and «Cierre de edición» (2022), the latter published by Penguin Random House.
