Filmmaker
Anna-Sophia Richard was born in the Dominican Republic in 1991. Between 2010 and 2012, she studied at the Casa Comal film school in Guatemala. In 2013, she began her directing studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. During this time, she made films that address social injustices, especially against women. Anna-Sophia’s graduation film «Los cuatro vientos» premiered at Dok Leipzig in 2021 and won the Civis YOUNG C Award. Anna-Sophia took part in the IDFAcademy and the Berlinale Talents programme in 2022
