Florencia Almirón
Born in Buenos Aires, Florencia is a visual artist, with a degree from the University of Art in Buenos Aires, and a Master’s degree from the Dutch Art Institute in Holland. Through her work she addresses themes such as technobodies, work and metamorphosis. She has shown her work at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano MALBA Puertos (Buenos Aires), Württembergischer Kunstverein (Stuttgart) and Kunstverein Hildesheim, among others.
In her script AGAR, she portrays a brickworks worker who develops a strange illness. Focusing on the mechanized nature of physical labor, she investigates the implications of the exploitation of natural resources, creating a disturbing rural fable.
